On Wednesday, August 24, I traveled to Los Angeles for an event that I will be forever grateful for. Several months ago I was contacted by two L.A. based stand up comics and fans (Ezra Edmond and Wilder Shaw.) They pitched me an idea for an event that could potentially help raise money for the production of The Waterman Movie. Their idea was to have a one night only stand up comedy event featuring some of the funniest comics that California had to offer. “Stand Up For The Waterman Movie” was born, and it was a massive success in more ways than one. If you missed our live event on Vokle.com, you missed a very big announcement. The Waterman Movie is now officially in production and has been in production for several months!

Though no one has stepped forward to make a substantial donation towards the project (aside from the generous contributions from our fans,) it means so much to me that I give Leslie another opportunity to make people laugh, that myself along with the talented animators at CJC Entertainment, have agreed to produce the movie with the equipment we have.

With that said, we continue to seek financial support for things like new hardware and studio time. All things that would increase the speed and ease of production and get this movie to your looking balls faster.

Continue to check back for more movie updates and to donate click DONATE.

Brent Tilton and Matt Synowicz created two beautiful poster designs for The Waterman Movie based on a concept by creator Bryan Waterman. Brent has a dark and unique design style which brought an intense realism to his design which was created using pen, pencil and water colors. Matt has an awesome, cartoonish style and (in our opinion) many of his recreations of famous characters are better than the originals. To view more work by Matt and Brent, visit The Art of Matt Synowicz and Cheshirepus.com. See both poster designs after the jump.
